Recent trends in infrastructure The following trends are researched in infrastructure development Green computing is the study and practice of environmentally sustainable computing or IT. The goals of green computing are: reduce the use of hazardous materials, maximize energy efficiency during the product's lifetime, the recyclability or biodegradability of defunct products and factory waste. Grid computing is the practice of leveraging multiple computers, often geographically distributed but connected by networks, to work together to accomplish joint tasks. It is typically run on a %u201cdata grid,%u201d a set of computers that directly interact with each other to coordinate jobs.
