In some cases,the service is provided without a request from the ship, in oil tankers and liquefied gas carriers. in other cases, the service is provided at the request of the ship, when itneed assistance in the sea maneuvering operations or in the event of some sudden malfunctions of the ship%u2018s machinery, and it is more important for the ship to be in a place that could cause malfunctions, accidents at the port. These fees are calculated on the basis of: the characteristics of the ship (length -width - depth), total net tonnage of the ship, a certain amount calculated on the basis of each hour that the towing process takes, and the capacity of the tug used in towing, but depending on the costs in calculating these fees. the matter requires calculating total costs for each locomotive separately due to the different capacities of these locomotives, and the ship is charged with value of the fee for each hour worked for the locomotive, taking into account that the hour break is a full hour, and the start-up is calculated from the place of movement of the locomotive from itslocation in the direction of the ship that will be dealt with.4- Berthing Dues Berth dues (or quay dues or dockage) Charges for the use of a berth. Typically assessed based on the duration of a vessel's stay and length overall (LOA). The berth is the term used in ports and harbors for a specific location at a port where a vessel may be moored, usually for the purposes of loading and unloading. Berths are designated by the management of a facility like port authority or harbormaster.These fees are bearded by ships for period of their mooring on the berths, so some call them the berth occupancy fees, and sometimes these fees may be incorporated into the port fees. These fees are calculated on one of the following bases: the area occupied by the ship for the berth, the characteristics of the ship in terms of length,
