In addition to this, there is an increase in employment opportunities available in the sectors related to ports, especially local labor in the cities or regions in which those ports are located. The size of the employment opportunities provided by the ports, which depend primarily on the practice of goods handling activities, depends on several factors, including the quality of the port, where the opportunities increase at better rates in the multi-purpose public ports, although it is governed by considerations related to the extent of mechanization use in the case of general merchandise circulation in the form of units.
